Yours For Eternity

It's been a crazy, busy couple weeks!  I think I'm in denial that tomorrow is the last day of 2012!! LOL  That means I'm only a few short months away from having a THREE year old AND being married for TEN YEARS!  EEEK!  lol  That seems like such a long time!

I picked up this "Yours For Eternity" kit purely for the daisies.  They caught my eye.  I LOVE daisies.  I had originally planned on scrapping a page of my hubby and me. . . but then... it hit me.  "Yours For Eternity". . . powerful statement.  And it means much more to me than earthly love.

My Little Monkey

My little Monkey is not so little anymore. . .  but I scrapped a page using Sugar Moon Designs' Sock It To Me Monkey kit of when he was just shy of 4 months old.
We had a "rule" when Tristan was a baby - whenever he started being grumpy, he would go upside down.  And majority of the time, it worked - no more grumpiness. :)

Let It Snow

Got another cute kit from With Love Studio!  This one is Snowy by FranB Designs.  I also used her new template pack, This and That V4
I scrapped a page from Tristan's second experience in the snow.  He liked it much more this year.  He was having a blast throwing the snow.  He even tried some. hehehe  A lot different than all his crying from the first time.

Then I coupled it with my cute little monster! hehehe I was looking through pics from Tristan's first Christmas, and I couldn't help but make a card... He's so adorable!

Cozy

Over at With Love Studio, they are having a great Christmas event - Santa's Stocking event!
I love all the kits included in the Stocking!  I decided to challenge myself and use a single color kit.  Here's what I came up with. . .

First Snow

I got these super cute kit pieces from FranB Designs called, Brrrrr!  Now, you can mix and match with other Lovely Color pieces. . . but I chose to get all the same.  I thought the animals were really cute :)
I LOVE how my page turned out.  I also used a template from FranB Designs.  It's the template that was given away for the November template challenge at With Love Studio.
I left off the really unhappy crying pictures. . . most of them were blurry anyway. lol

STS Road Trip - At The Lodge

** Attention **

I am so excited for the Triune Blog Train this month!!  Not only do I love Christmas. . . but I love the united spirit of celebrating the birth of our Savior.  :)  The gals have their theme and colors, and are working hard on things for the December train.  Just thinking about it makes me smile.

If you are a "designer" (whether you are seasoned or a newbie) and would like to participate in contributing some items - please contact me on my facebook page!! Thanks in advance!! I'm really excited about this!!! We have had a great response and I look forward to it growing and growing!

The next train will be rolling from the station on Dec. 15th. . . so there is still time to participate!

----------------
STS Road Trip time! The theme: At The Lodge.
I will admit, I'm a CU using kind of gal. lol  I have not ventured to create a lot on my own.  I made a really cool Star (of Bethlehem - watch for it later this month *wink*), but of course. . . my friend over at Callaluna Creations informed me that anyone can just get a star like that in certain fonts.  So, yeah.  lol
But I got some really cute CU items during the Black Friday sales, so I wanted to include them along with my papers lol

You can download the Pattern Paper Pack here.

And you can get the elements on my facebook page:

First Wedding

I was talked into doing another speed scrap by my wonderfully awesome friend, Heather - who you all know as Callaluna Creations.  This speed scrap was hosted by Karen Diamond Designs, on her facebook page.
I decided to give Autumn Wind (by Digital Harmony Design Studio) another try.  This time went a lot better!  I used some pics that my hubby took during my first [paid] wedding shoot.  I like how the page turned out, though I keep wanting to tweak it.  So, something is not jiving for me. . .

Sunlight

In the middle of all the Black Friday chaos, I decided to do a speed scrap over at STS!  Probably not my smartest move! LOL
I used Digital Harmony Design Studio's Autumn Wind kit.  I know I'm my worst critic, but I really am not a fan of how the page turned out.  It needs a lot of help. . . lol

All Joy

There is a fine line we walk when it comes to Christmas.  Tristan is only two and a half years old, but we've decided that we can not do the whole Santa thing.  Now, I was raised believing in Santa. . . but it didn't last long.  I think I was 5 (or younger).
We are going to tell him the truth, that Santa isn't a real guy who spies on him when he's sleeping or keeps track all year if he's been good.  And we are going to tell him the real story about how there WAS a "Santa" (aka Chris Kringle). . . and the spirit behind what Santa stands for.  Then we are going to give him the choice to subscribe to that or not.  But we are also going to tell him that under NO circumstance is he to ruin that belief for anyone else.
Granted he's 2 and we won't have to deal with this for at least another year, maybe 2. . . but he has a cousin, who he's close to, that is 4 months younger.  So, there will be a point where he will know something different than her.
We are also teaching him about the true story of Christmas - the birth of our Lord and Savior!

It's been quite a journey for me.  Having to really think about my beliefs and what I'm portraying and then having to face the "heat" from everyone else for those beliefs.

Anyway. . . LOL  Here is a layout I did with FranB Designs' Ho Ho Holiday kit.  There are a lot of REALLY cute elements (the penguin is my favorite! hehehe) and I LOVE the templates!

These are pics of Tristan's first Christmas.  And even though he knocked over the Christmas tree. . . count it all joy!  I LOVE the pic of him looking up at Kaleb!  So cute!  That pure awe. . .

Love Is. . .

I'll be honest, I have been sitting on this kit (Love Is by B2N2 Scraps) for quite a while now.  I had inspiration when I got the kit. . . but when I went to work with it, it was gone.
But inspiration finally came when I wanted to make a page for the Scraplift Challenge I am hosting on B2N2 Scraps' Facebook page!

Collecting Leaves

I picked up Sugarmoon Designs' Thankful For Autumn kit to aid in making my Bingo Card.  Crazy, I know.  But then I decided I wanted to scrap a page with it.  I'm not in love with how the page turned out.  But that's okay...

Precious

I will be honest, I got Mayo Designs' Gray & Gloomy kit for one thing, and one thing only - the Eeyore element.  lol  It's just too cute!  Tristan has several Eeyores, because they were mine.
The one in the pic is actually his, though.  It was a "baby's first Eeyore".  hehehe
He still loves them, even now.
